Mustard and Blog News

So yesterday I had a pretzel with mustard. It was a soft pretzel, and it was probably one of the best things I've eaten all week- taste wise.

I don't really like mustard, except for the kind from McDonald's, with my fries. But, I always like to eat soft pretzels with mustard- the yellow kind. I think it's so good J!

But, when I was scrumptiously eating my pretzel, I started to wonder what mustard is made of. So I'm going to do some research, and I decided that Wikipedia is the most reliable source.

"Mustard is a thick yellowish-brown paste with a sharp taste made from the ground seeds of a mustard plant.
The ground mustard seeds are mixed with water, vinegar or other liquids, and sometimes other flavorings and spices.
A strong mustard can cause the eyes to water, sting the palate and inflame the nasal passages.
It can also cause allergic reactions: since 2005, products in the European Union must be labeled as potential allergens if they contain mustard.

Did you know that there was a mustard PLANT?! I bet not.
So cool. We learned something new today.

Anyway, I've decided how I am going to have more things to write about on this blog. Every single day that I update my blog, I'll assign the day a letter of the alphabet. So, starting tomorrow it will be "A," then the next day "B," and so on. I'm going to start with nouns that start with that letter of the day, then once I'm done with the alphabet, I'll go on to verbs, and everything.

So there. That's how much of a life I have.
I have to go to Spanish now… I hate Spanish.
P.S. Enjoy the picture of the pretzel gods.
